Our HSA has several committees which are ongoing throughout the school year. Each committee has a Chairperson and Co-Chairperson as well as parent volunteers who believe they have skills that would be well-suited for the committee of their choosing.

Parkview Events Committee: Coordinate events and activities for Parkview School. Assist Parkview Teachers with classroom needs and work directly with the designated staff liaison to bridge the gap between parents and teachers. Works with teachers to periodically review supply needs within the schools and find ways to help bridge the gap for the teachers. Ideally checking in with staff every 3 months.
Yellin Event Committee: Coordinate events and activities for Yellin School. Assist Yellin Teachers with classroom needs and work directly with the designated staff liaison to bridge the gap between parents and teachers. Works with teachers to periodically review supply needs within the schools and find ways to help bridge the gap for the teachers. Ideally checking in with staff every 3 months.
Hospitality/ Teacher Appreciation Committee: Coordinate any hospitality activities. Head a yearly meet and greet for parents and teachers. Be present at all member meetings to greet and guide parents into the meetings. Responsible for heading teacher appreciation events.
Fundraising Committee: Organize and plan fundraisers. Research new ideas and ways to raise funds for the schools. Coordinate item pick-ups if necessary and recruit volunteers to help staff events.
Media/Socials Coordinator: Create and maintain an HSA website, and social media accounts. Create and maintain a member directory. Prepare newsletters and flyers for events or fundraisers. Upload meeting minutes and important documents for parents to easily access. Put out digital surveys for parents as needed.
Inclusion Committee: Assists all committees and room parents in creating an inclusive and safe environment for all students, including those who may have food allergies, sensory sensitivities, or differently abled students.
Room parent Coordinator: Our room parent Coordinator assists parents who have volunteered as head room parent with any questions they may have. They are also responsible for distributing room helper contact information and starting class funds.
